I am writing for my daughter who has autism. She is a beautiful 18 year old, with lots of experience being photographed. She studied improv for a year. And now, is taking acting lessons mentored by the director of a university theater department. I know that Autism Speaks is collaborating with the Ad Council for a million dollar autism awareness ad campaign. She aspires to be included; and presently, her face shots are before the Creative Director.
(Autism Speaks is led by the former CEO of NBC, as his son has autism.)
We would like to post that she would like a small part in a feature film. We'd planned to do one in our home town, but this film may not find all the volunteer actors for which it aspires. I have lots and lots of contacts in autism. Autism is getting an hour to a day in many independent film festivals. And if she is in your feature film, your film could be included in a section specialized for autism. I also am on an autism listserve with 65,000 families; and autism siblings would be wiling to gather for one day to do walk-on parts for free.
