Mauricio Alexander is a U.S. based actor, singer-songwriter, director, writer, producer and filmmaker whose work has been featured at Southpaw, the US Social Forum, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Studio Theater, Theater J, Young Playwrights' Theater, Arts on Foot, D.C. Hip-Hop Theatre Festival, Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Symphony Space, Center Stage, and the Joseph Papp Public Theater.
He has appeared on stage with performance artists Rebel Diaz, Tahani Salah, Climing Poetree, SOUL Purpose, DAM (Palestine), K Salaam, Hassan Salaam, Open Thought, Akim Funk Buddha, Mental Notes, Red Clay, Mind Spray, and Caridad de la Luz (La Bruja) and continues to work as a commercial, voice-over and on-camera talent, most recently on ABC's Emmy Award winning sit-com Ugly Betty and the Sundance Channel's Webby Award winning series The Captive.
Mauricio is a graduate of Oberlin College, and a former student at the School for Film & Television and the LAByrinth Theatre Company.
