Cira Felina Bolla’s, Bio

Artistic Instinct" is the core of Cira Felina Bolla's work as Director of Photography. Fluent in four languages, Bolla has shot features, documentaries, commercials and music videos in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America: (She is both an EU and US Citizen) This after her undergraduate work via New York University (Tisch School of the Arts, Film & Television).

In 2006, Bolla received an Emmy Nomination for her documentary camera work on Episode 5; Stories from the Sharp Experience. In 2005, Bolla's passion for the camera resulted in a prestigious appointment with the Women in Film Cinematography Fellowship. Thereafter, she closely studied her craft in a "hands-on" environment while on the set of the Emmy-winning "House MD" television series, where she trained in various aspects of cinematography by the distinguished veteran Cinematographer, Roy Wagner,ASC (a former student of Ansel Adams).

Bolla's formal (and informal) education, training and life experience have made her a natural at keeping pace in the demanding world of production. Her exceptional skills in the management and empowerment of crew (and other personnel) keeps her departments and schedule running smoothly in even the most adverse of conditions.

As an artist, Bolla's unique aesthetic is a coupling of an excellent natural "eye" for composition & light. It has been said, she is too young to be so masterful. Her deep respect for the history, discipline and craft of cinematography fuel her dedication and achievements.

Bolla shoots in all film and HD formats 35mm/ S16mm .HD Cameras which include: Genesis, , F900 series, 950, Varicam, Dalsa, Viper, Arri, HD Cam, Cine Alta

Bolla is active in the cinematography community . Recently on the cover of December 2006 Industry Magazine P3 PRODUCTION UPDATE vol/ DEC 2006. Student Filmmakers Magazine vol.AUG 2007 featured article on her Emmy Nomination. and spoke as an invited panelist at the Ojai Film Festival 2005 and is the selected Cinematographer for the WOMEN IN FILM (WIF) print ad campaign set to run in industry publications 2007/ 2008.
